highAutomatic transmission fluid-pump gear fault (2017-2019)

Look for: Ranger/Everest built 2017-2019 are affected by a transmission fluid-pump gear fault that can cause loss of hydraulic pressure and drive - a known issue subject to Ford action.

If you find it: Check for the relevant Ford service action/recall; transmission repair if affected.

If you find it: Regular highway runs; quality oil/fuel; address faults early before turbo damage.
