Overview
Great Wall Motors' first proper challenger to the Hilux/Ranger duopoly. 2020-2021 launch was 3000kg tow only — the full 3500kg arrived with the 2.4L variant from 2022. 7-year unlimited-km warranty when new is best-in-class. ZF 8-speed auto on the 2.0; GWM's own 9-speed on the 2.4. Specification level (leather, ADAS, cameras) is generous for the price. Long-term reliability data thin — the platform hasn't been in market long enough at 100k+ km to know how it ages in Australian conditions. Dealer network has gaps in regional NSW.
